Of course. This is your safe space to explore whatever’s troubling you, without fear of being judged or what you say being disclosed to anyone. Nothing you tell me will ever leave the room without your permission.
My life coaching is an educational process, during which we find out what works for you and provide tools that allow you to manage better in the here and now, with us setting fixed goals and a timeline on which to operate. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is not done on a set timescale, and focuses instead on going into your past and exploring the root causes of more complex issues like depression and/or anxiety.
Life coaching and/or psychotherapy is suitable for anyone with depression, or someone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, unsure about where to go in life, or simply feels like something isn’t quite right but can’t put their finger on what it is. It is also suitable for those with a specific complex problem of any kind, from depression to substance misuse to bereavement.
Generally, I see clients once a week, as this allows us to cultivate a strong working relationship and maintain a sense of continuity between sessions, as this is so important for making progress. However, if you need to see me twice a week, I can potentially accommodate this. Others prefer fortnightly sessions, which is also fine.
Payment can be made via bank transfer as a direct debit. PayPal can also be used. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I require 48 hours’ notice, otherwise you will be obligated to pay for the session in full.
Coaching packages are generally paid for up front, but can be paid for in instalments.
I know that reaching out for help can be hard, especially if you’re doing it for the first time. My practice gives you a safe, totally private space to receive the personalised support you need from a professional. Give me a call at any time to discuss life coaching and psychotherapy in Dalston, Islington, and online.
