I qualified as a social worker in 1998, working in the criminal justice system for over a decade, with seven years specialising in working with young men convicted of sexual offences and/or violence. It was during this time that I saw, up close, the impact of intergenerational/intersectional trauma on other people. And as someone who themselves came from an immigrant family, along with facing the challenges often met by neurodivergent members of the LGBTQIA+ community, I know how it feels to be an outsider.
My decision to become a fully qualified life coach and psychotherapist was grounded in my determination to further help individuals, in particular men, who struggle to vocalise their difficulties and don’t feel seen, providing people with techniques that allow them to help themselves and enjoy greater confidence going forward in life.
